Volunteers are the heart and soul of THCA. In 2019 our volunteers logged in over 18,000 hours of service to others. That’s the equivalent of 8 full-time workers packing and distributing boxes of food, cooking meals, sorting and distributing clothes, and so much more!
If you are a member of a civic organization, church, school group, or business, please encourage your organization to adopt THCA by making financial contributions, food donations, or with a service project.
Contact our Executive Director at [email protected] and we will be happy to work with you to identify how your group can be most effective.
Our Executive Director is also available to speak to groups interested in helping to work to end food insecurity.

New volunteers are screened and required to attend a training session set by appointment. Volunteer opportunities are generally Monday through Friday daytime hours. Volunteers must be at least 14 years old, able to stand for periods of time.
The policy for inclement weather at Toco Hills Community Alliance is that if Dekalb county schools close for weather reasons, Toco Hills Community Alliance will also be closed for the day.
