In 2023, we shared over 1.2 million pounds of food to over 24,000 families!
By September 2024, we have already shared over 1 million pounds of food to over 25,000 families!
We are so blessed to be able to share the impact of your support in various ways – through numbers, through stories that we pick up as we speak with those we serve coming thorough. But it’s not often we get to share stories like Adriana’s, in her very own words. Stories like “The Box”…
Adriana’s family was in the need of THCA’s support during a very trying time in her family – her 8 year old daughter was battling cancer. “The Box” that her family received every week from THCA meant that grocery shopping was one less thing to worry about, and the ability to spend more time with her daughter.
Adriana is still a part of the THCA family today, but now as a volunteer and donor instead of a neighbor in need. And now that she has a new job, and her daughter is cancer-free (!!!), she chooses to give back through volunteering and donating to the organization that was there when her family needed it most.
Thank you for making stories like Adriana’s possible. “The Box” has an even greater impact than you know!
Even when life continued to burden her with new obstacles, Adriana didn’t let her circumstances get the best of her. Still in these times of uncertainty, she knew Toco Hills Community Alliance would be there to help get her though these struggles.
When you support Toco Hills Community Alliance – whether that be through prayer, volunteering, financially, or through spreading the word about our mission – you aren’t just suppling a box of food to a family. In Adriana’s words, you’re giving them “hope, love, faith and happiness”!
We are always looking for volunteers who want to make a positive difference, high school students to retirees. Please go to http://bttr.im/po89m. For any other questions, email us at [email protected].
We shared over 22,000 articles of clothing last year, including men’s. women’s, and children’s clothes.
The policy for inclement weather at Toco Hills Community Alliance is that if Dekalb county schools close for weather reasons, Toco Hills Community Alliance will also be closed for the day.
