Gold Medal Impact
At the heart of every successful Olympic team is a shared commitment to excellence and teamwork. Your support of our food pantry is no different. Whether you’ve donated food items, volunteered your time, or made a financial contribution, you are an essential part of our team. Together, we work tirelessly to provide healthy food and essential support to individuals and families facing food insecurity.
Gold-Medal Impact:
As we embrace the spirit of the Olympic Games, we want to share a bit about how your support has made an impact on our mission. Thanks to your generosity, so far in 2024, we’ve been able to:
• Provide almost 750,000 pounds of food to over 17,000 families.
- Almost 3 times as many families as 5 years ago
- On track to share 1.5 million pounds of food this year
• Support a Backpack Program at a local elementary school to ensure families have access to food on weekends and holidays.
• Update our website to include nutrition resources for those we serve and an ability to be translated into Spanish.
Silver-Lining Stories:
In the true Olympic spirit of perseverance and triumph, we want to share some inspiring stories made possible by your support:
• Last week, a young man shared that because he had reached rock-bottom, he had ended up in a sober living program to start over. He had nothing but the clothes on his back. We have been able to provide him food as he continues his recovery process. He reported last week that he is celebrating being 9 months sober and is strong enough now to look for a job.
• For months, a young pregnant woman has been coming to get healthy food to sustain her as she grows a human. As the months wore on, we came to her due date, and she was still coming for weeks after the due date. We didn’t see her for a week, and sure enough, the next week, we all got to meet her very healthy baby boy. Everyone stopped and applauded in excitement!
Bronze Moments of Gratitude:
We cannot express enough how grateful we are for your ongoing support. Your dedication and generosity continue to inspire us and empower our efforts to work towards food security for everyone in our neighborhood. Together, we are achieving milestones that mirror the determination and unity celebrated at the Olympics.
Join Us on the Podium:
Just as athletes rely on their supporters to reach new heights, we depend on your continued support to keep our pantry thriving.
Here are a few ways you can stay involved and help us go for gold:
• Keep up to date with current pantry needs and share the word with others: https://tocohillsalliance.org/items-needed/
• Volunteer your time to help us sort, pack, and distribute food, cook lunch, hang up clothes, or pick up a donation: https://tocohillsalliance.org/volunteer/
• Consider making a recurring monetary donation to provide consistent support throughout the year: https://tocohillsalliance.org/donate/
Celebrating Victories Together:
Your involvement is crucial to our success, and we are honored to have you as part of our team. Indeed, every time a family receives a meal or an individual finds relief from hunger, it’s a victory made possible by you. Your support not only fills empty stomachs, but also uplifts spirits and strengthens our community. Together, we celebrate these victories and strive for even greater impact.
Thank You for Being Our Champions:
We are deeply grateful for your commitment. Together, let’s continue to work for a gold medal impact to create a community where all families have ready access to enough healthy food for them to thrive
