Our primary program is our food pantry, distributing free groceries to hundreds of families each week.
Each individual or family may come once a week to receive a box of groceries that will have dry goods, frozen meat, fresh produce, dairy items, bread, and desserts. Those without access to a kitchen will receive a large bag of non-perishable, easy-open, low-preparation foods.
Currently, we are distributing food in a drive through or walk up manner.
For safety purposes, if you come in a car, you may not park your car and walk up.
If you come in a car, you must stay in your car the entire time. Please make sure we have room to load your groceries in your car.
Those who walk up from the bus stop or from their house are to enter the line under the small tent and wait to be served.
PLEASE NOTE :
We do NOT provide any housing or utility assistance – see the Resource Sheet referenced below
PLEASE NOTE: We do not provide any rental, utility, or financial assistance.
We provide food assistance to those in the Northeast Atlanta, North Central Dekalb County area with low or no income. This table below shows monthly and weekly income for each family size. If your household income is at or below the income listed for the number of people in your household, you are considered low income.
We do request that the first time you come, that you come on a Wednesday before 3pm. At that time, we will need to see your identification and will need to gather the names and birthdates of everyone who lives in your household. You need to bring your identification each time you come.
We distribute groceries on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. No appointment is needed. Groceries can be provided to an individual or family once a week on either Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday.
We are closed to the public on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and most Fridays.
We have NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS, so please plan your trip to us accordingly.
Due to safety requirements, only staff and volunteers may enter the building.
We have a limited number of “to-go” meals for our friends experiencing homelessness available on a first come, first served basis on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons from 1:00 pm until 2:30 pm. The meal may be eaten at our picnic tables or taken to be eaten elsewhere.
Our Clothing Closet is open at least one Friday each month from 9:30am – 12pm, where seasonally appropriate clothing is available for men, women, and children in a “pop-up” style display.
