Latest News

Team THCA wants to thank you all for your support for the 2019 Hunger Walk Run! Our team of walkers gathered Sunday morning, carpooled to MARTA, and made our way to the event site, the Home Depot Backyard. As we approached the site, we noticed a sculpture that looked like a big rolling ball. Several of our team members went under it and held out their arms and said, "We're here to stop hunger!"

The event was wonderfully organized by the Atlanta Community Food Bank and Team THCA enjoyed the pre-walk activities. As we walked in the heat, on pavement, with no shade, we remembered why were there and how many of you were with us in spirit, supporting us to be neighbors helping neighbors. And, as we left, our bodies were flagging, but our spirits were not.

All of you, every little bit everyone gave, will help Team THCA to feed people who might not otherwise have access to food. We are so grateful to all of you and to other teams who also raised money and walked for Toco Hills Community Alliance - Clairmont Presbyterian, Spiritual Living Center of Atlanta, and Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta.

And yet, we have to acknowledge that we missed our fundraising goal. We need at least another $5,000 to reach our minimum. And the good news is that any donations received by May 15 will count toward our total! In the next two weeks, if every one of our supporters would give or get just $20, we can achieve that easily.

Here is the link to Team THCA . Please share widely. Truly, even a small amount will make a big difference to stop hunger - together!
